Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey.

If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.

 

 

 


 

You like the bits we are offering, but you are not sure if your horse will like them and it would be helpfull for you to test a bit.
Well, this is possible.
It works like this :
1. You place an order and send us at the same time an e-mail (contact@horseworldeu.com)  that you would like to test a bit. We receive the order and the e-mail. It is important to do it at the same time otherwhise we can't know you want to test.
2.  We send the bit to you, you can use it freely for two weeks.
3. If you decide to buy the bit you ordered, you send back the test bit and we send your order. You just pay the shipping costs to send it back yourself without any extra charge.
If you decide that you don't want to buy the bit you ordered, you send back the test bit, pay the shipping costs for sending it back and we will refund you minus € 10 for administrative costs.
The test bit has to come back in good shape (of course used, but not broken). If we don't get the bit back three weeks after sending it, we will keep the order amount paid.
